The Left 4 Dead Zero Leaks were caused when Theuaredead' (Project Lead and Texture Creator) published a announcement on the L4D0 steam group on Sep 30, 2018. They put a link to the project's sources and assets.

Smoker

Exploded Smoker

Found in OriginalSource > SCNs_Zbrush_Mud > models > infected > smoker > Scenes the model is the regular smoker with a exploded head and chest, much like the boomer's explosion creating gibs so was the smoker.

Early Smoker Model

A smoker model with different hair, a regular human-sized tongue and no bones. Used ~2007-mid 2008

Witch

Judging from the file name, this model was used for the mocap animation recordings. the only difference between retail seems to be the 3D hair (unlike the 2D in retail), bigger panties and buggy UVMAP

Boomer

unused boomer chundering chunks. It's unknown when these pieces of flesh were ever used, if used at all.

Common Infected

Early Worker

A early chunky version of the worker.

Found in OriginalSources > SCNs_Zbrush_Mud > models > infected > common > Scenes. There are only 3 bones that control the face animations for the model. Retail uses 10 bones. This versipn of the worker Infected has vastly different clothes and head has a different UV map

Early Cop

It uses a different head, an edited worker head. and has a sidearm, albeit hidden and unused

Early Patient

Simply an early sick person, torso and head have different UV maps and gown is modeled differently.

Coach has multiple unused layers. most interestingly he has unused color option layers

Infected

Hunter Viewmodel PSD

found at Left4DeadZeroDEV > OriginalSource > PSDs.rar and repeated a couple more places you can find the hunter viewmodel PSD. There are several key notes, the fact the UV map changed once during the beginning of development, the fact the hands are based on real photos but also the fact that the textures are based on the so-called "Nightmare Folder" from the developer commentary alongside the original idea of having blood after pouncing, like most L4DZ textures, the size is more HD than the files ingame.

HUD Changes

Prototype Versus Healthbar

found at Left4DeadZeroDEV > OriginalSource > PSDs.rar the Prototype Versus Healthbar (Guessed off the file name PZ_healthbars.psd) located at Left4DeadZeroDEV > OriginalSource > PSDs.rar main changes are the meter and the length. from the early 2008 period. (Based on the metadata)

during the development of L4D2 they changed some icons, apparently they were going to change a ton more, and make them achievement-styled with green backgrounds, seems to be cut early in development or very late, considering we see none of these icons in pre-release footage. we even see the pre-release L4D2 ammo upgrade icon seen in other footage done up in this green style.

Green HUD

Ditto, but only one icon was ever finished, and grey. the picture below is a cropped version of the full-size image

Alternative Grey HUD

During development of the "Survival" mode in L4D2 they had several changes to the medal and timer icons
